Need a little fake blood for that Halloween costume? You can easily make it at home with a few simple ingredients you can easily find in your local supermarket.
This recipe is made from safe, edible ingredients so you can have a bit of your victims blood trickling from your fangs!
2-4 Drops Red Gel Food Coloring
About 1 Tablespoons or more Cocoa Powder
About 1 Tablespoons or more Corn Starch
Fake Blood Recipe
1/2 Cup Corn Syrup2-4 Drops Red Gel Food Coloring
About 1 Tablespoons or more Cocoa Powder
About 1 Tablespoons or more Corn Starch
Water
1. Combine corn syrup with red food coloring. Start with 2 drops and add more until you get the color you want.
2. Add a tablespoon of cocoa powder to darken the color. Mix it well and check the color. Add more for a darker red.
3. Mix in the tablespoon of corn starch to make the fake blood thicker. Add more corn starch to thicken it more.

4. Use less cornstarch or add a small amount of water if you want thinner blood.
Please note: The food coloring can stain clothes and skin.
The stain will wear off of the skin with repeated washing or you can make a paste of baking soda and water to gently rub it away.
The food color may not come out of your clothes, though so be careful when you are using it.
You can always purchase fake blood for your Halloween costume if you are not up for brewing up a batch.
