Blemishes from your Phone?

Having a break out on your chin and cheeks?  Your phone could be the culprit! Bacteria, oils and makeup can build up on your phone, transfer onto your clean face and cause blemishes.  Clean your cell phone and, house phone too if you still have one, frequently. Use alcohol on a soft cloth to clean your phone.           Have a Beautiful Day!  xo Jill Licensed Cosmetologist,  Esthetician,  Makeup Artist PS: Thanks for using my amazon 💋 As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases at no cost to you. Moles and Spots

Skin cancer is on the rise. Keep an eye on your skin. Do you have a pimple that never seems to heal?  Maybe you have had it for a couple months.  Head to your dermatologist to have it checked. It could basal cell carcinoma. It is a slow growing, easily treated cancer that appears in areas of the body that are exposed to the sun such as the face, neck, arm and hands. The doctor will do a biopsy on the suspicious pimple to determine if it is basal cell. If it is, a minor surgical procedure will remove it.   Here is a chart I have had for years. I have found it helpful for recognizing what a suspicious spot looks like.    Examine your skin frequently checking for anything that doesn't look quite right.   Get to your doctor if you notice a spot has changed in color or size.   Have your skin checked by a dermatologist yearly. Morgan Taylor Lacquer Review

Morgan Taylor Professional Nail Lacquer is from the manufacturers Gelish. (Gelish is a light cured soak off gel polish.) Morgan Taylor Lacquer is DBP (dibutyl phthalate), toluene and formaldehyde free. There are 100 unique colors to choose from in glitters, metallics and creams. It was recently shown on the runways at fashion week. The colors look great on the color chart!  My salon received a sample to try. I wanted to love it, but it was chipped on my fingernails within 24 hours. Know this, I am notorious for chipping polish, even gel polish!     A client also had the same chipping situation. It is holding up on my toes beautifully, though. We tried Hot, Hot Tamale. It went on smooth with nice coverage. I loved the richly pigmented color and the glossy shine. I'm not sure about the ergonomic cap. It is very smooth. There is no texture to it making it a bit slippery if you have remnants of lotion on your hands.  Here is the important...

Water infused with fruit and herbs is all the rage. It's cool, refreshing and has good for you vitamins too. I saw this recipe for Fat Flush Water. Does it flush fat? They say, try it for 10 days. Fat Flush Water 24 oz water 3 slices of grapefruit 3 tangerines 1 1/2 cucumbers 6 peppermint leaves Ice Wash grapefruit, tangerine, cucumber and peppermint leaves well. Slice cucumber and grapefruit. You can also slice the tangerines or peel and section them. Gently crumple the peppermint leaves to release their oils. If you are using lots of sunscreen like you should be to keep your skin healthy and beautiful, you won't have the dark golden tan that you want.  So, add color with self tanner! The picture above is the deck at a beach house we rented in Sea Isle City, NJ. Someone before us used the deck to get their spray tan on!😂 There are cream, mousse and spray self tanner formulas. All will create a nice tan. The formula is your preference. There are also different strength formula for the color tan you want such as medium or medium dark. Some self tanners  are tinted so you can see  exactly  where you have applied it.  The tint will wash off in the shower. Don't worry, it's not your tan washing off!  The tan will t ake a few hours to develop. The ingredient is self tanners is dihydroxyacetone. It is actually a naturally derived ingredient from plants including sugar beets and sugar cane. The dihydroxyacetone interacts with the amino acids in the to...
