Q. My skin is breaking out. My friend uses rubbing alcohol on her face as toner. Will it help clear my skin up?
A. Don't do it!
Rubbing alcohol, which is isopropyl alcohol, is not a good toner. It will over dry your skin and create a tough dead cell layer of skin which will actually clog the pores more.
Use a toner containing salicylic acid to gently remove dead skin cells and calm inflammation.
A toner is used after using a facial cleanser to remove any leftover cleanser and treat skin conditions.
Try Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solutions Clarifying Toner. A bottle of it is just$8.97 on Amazon. It is gentle, effective and easy to find.
