How to fix Thin Eyebrows

This is what we want...
thick eyebrow
thick, full youthful brows. We want to look more youthful so we need to make our brows look thicker. Plus, thick bold brows are a current trend.

But...

This is what we have.
thin eyebrow
Eyebrows can become thinner and more sparse as we age. They also have a tendency to get shorter from both ends. Brow thinning also happens due to certain medical conditions such as thyroid disorders. Or it can happen from just plain over plucking.

There are a number of things you can do to help your brows look thicker and fuller. I have included Amazon Affiliate links in this post to help you find the best brow products for you.

How to Fix Thin Eyebrows

Put away the tweezers
It's not easy but put away the tweezers let your brows grow back if you have over plucked. Unfortunately, brow hairs don't always grow back after being plucked. You will just have to wait and see what grows back.

Fill them in
This is the easiest fix. Use a brush and a brow powder or a powder eye shadow that matches your hair color to fill thin brows in to hide the sparseness and add a little thickness. A powder is easy to work with and will give you a softer look than a pencil. It will also color gray hairs.

Try a hair growth formula
There are a variety of topical treatment options to help stimulate hair growth for thin brows. These types of treatments need to be used consistently to see results. The brows will return to their former state when you stop using the treatment.

Latisse
Latisse is a prescription medication used to treat hypotrichosis, not enough eye lashes. It seems to help brows grow better too. You will begin to see some improvement in about 5 weeks.

Grande Brow
There is a non prescription product called Grande Brow Eye Brow Enhancing Serum. It is made by the company that makes Grande Lash and uses amino acids, vitamins, peptides and plant extracts to help grow thicker eye brows.

Apply to the brows once daily. You will see improvement in your brows in 6 to 8 weeks.

Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Panthenol, Glycerin, Sodium Citrate, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Alanine, Alcohol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Arctostaphylos Uva URSI Leaf Extract, Arginine, Aspartic Acid, Calcium Gluconate, Caprylyl Glycol, Chamomilla Recutita (Metricaria) Flower Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Gluconolactone, Glycine, Hexylene Glycol, Histidine, Honey Extract/Mel/Extrait de Miel, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Hydrolyzed Yeast Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Isoleucine, Isopropyl Cloprostenate, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, PCA, Phenylalanine, Polysorbate 20, Proline, Propylene Glycol, Serine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Lactate, Sodium PCA, Threonine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Triethanolamine, Tussilago Farfara (Coltsfoot) Leaf Extract, Valine, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Metabisulfite

Castor Oil
Castor oil is a nice safe natural option to use to thicken eyebrows. Apply organic castor oil to your brows at night. Massage the oil into the skin in the brow area. You should see some improvement in your brows in 4 to 6 weeks.
Get Brow Extensions
Lash extensions are great for creating long lashes. Extensions are also great for creating fuller looking brows. Find a salon that does lash extensions and ask if the also do brow extensions too or order a DIY kit. It is not easy to do your own lash extension but you can easily do your own eyebrow extensions.

Then, there is also microblading.

Microblading
Microblading is a professional semi permanent beauty procedure to beautify thin brows. It is similar to brow tattooing. Small hair like cuts are made in the skin in the thin brow area. Then, a pigment is applied to the area. The pigment heals in the skin mimicking the look of hairs.

It is a bit pricy. One treatment can run hundreds of dollars and lasts about 12 to 18 months. A few of my clients have had nice results from microblading.

I personally will stick to filling my brows in and using castor oil to stimulate hair growth. Remember, you must be consistent with using brow treatments. When you stop, the brows will go back to how they were.

Have a Beautiful Brow Day!

White Bumps Under Eyes: Milia

Have you noticed that you have little white looking bumps under your eyes? Some people call it chicken skin because the bumps look like plucked chicken skin. 🐔 Most likely those little white bumps are milia. They can feel hard or pearly. These bumps are not acne. Milia can occur when dead skin cells become trapped beneath the outer layer of skin. Keratin becomes trapped and builds up. A small benign cyst can form which is the milia. It's a cyst!?! Don't let that word scare you. They are harmless, but unwanted bumps.  They can occur on any area of the skin that tends to be on the dry side. They cannot be squeezed out like a blackhead or pimple because they have no opening. A layer of skin covers them. A hole must be created in them using a needle, then they can be extracted out. Read more about blackhead, whiteheads and blind pimples This is a common problem for the under-eye area. It is a dry, delicate area of the skin. I see it a lot on my clients. Heavy products

Dermatofibromas

This post is all about dermatofibromas and some remedies to help make them look better and ways hide them. It includes my Amazon Affiliate Links to help you find the products I talk about. Q. I have this brown bump on my leg that won't go away. What can I do about it? A. It could be a dermatofibroma. I see them often on my leg waxing clients. A dermatofibroma is a tan to brown benign raised bump more common in women than men and occur commonly on the legs. The bump feels hard under the skin and can be itchy, tender and easily irritated. A doctor will tell you not to worry about it because it's benign, but it's kind of ugly! Dermatofibromas are also called Benign Fibrous Histiocytomas. They are the result of some sort of injury to the skin such as an ingrown hair or a bug bite.  Be careful when shaving because a dermatofibroma may bleed and become sore if nicked. Don't think you can get rid of it by shaving it off. It will be an awful looking sore and will j
