Group Halloween Costume Idea: The Months of the Year

We had a super fun day at the salon for our Halloween Party! Our theme was the months of the year. I work with a bunch of very creative people. It was interesting to see how each person interpreted their month.

The Months of the Year Costumes

January wore a tutu and snow flakes.

 February was decorated in red and hearts with a candy box hat.

March was was decked out for St. Patrick's Day.

 I was April, April Showers.

I used blue eye shadow to create my blue lips. I started with an opaque nude pink lipstick. Then, I used a blue eyeliner to line the lips and smudge it onto the lips to blend the line. Next, a smudged on some blue eye shadow. It looked shimmery and iridescent. It stayed on great.

May was May Flowers.


June was, of course, a June bride..... Halloween style! She used toilet paper and tacky glue to create her zombie torn flesh.

 July celebrated the 4th of July in red, white and blue.

 August was soooo creative. Can you guess what she is?

She is the Coppertone Girl. Bahahaha!

 September was a school teacher complete with a pencil behind her ear, an apple, a ruler and a pile of books!

 October was a bag of leaves. 

 November was a native American. 

We also had a sugar skull for Dia de los Muertos.

December was a Christmas elf.

 Here is whole menagerie minus September. She had to get back to her class before the pic was taken. lol

The salon owners actually used all of our pictures to create a calendar. It came out soooo cute!

White Bumps Under Eyes: Milia

Have you noticed that you have little white looking bumps under your eyes? Some people call it chicken skin because the bumps look like plucked chicken skin. 🐔 Most likely those little white bumps are milia. They can feel hard or pearly. These bumps are not acne. Milia can occur when dead skin cells become trapped beneath the outer layer of skin. Keratin becomes trapped and builds up. A small benign cyst can form which is the milia. It's a cyst!?! Don't let that word scare you. They are harmless, but unwanted bumps.  They can occur on any area of the skin that tends to be on the dry side. They cannot be squeezed out like a blackhead or pimple because they have no opening. A layer of skin covers them. A hole must be created in them using a needle, then they can be extracted out. Dermatofibromas

I have this brown bump on my leg that won't go away. What can I do about it? A. It could be a dermatofibroma. I see them often on my leg waxing clients. A dermatofibroma is a tan to brown benign raised bump more common in women than men and occur commonly on the legs. The bump feels hard under the skin and can be itchy, tender and easily irritated. A doctor will tell you not to worry about it because it's benign, but it's kind of ugly! Dermatofibromas are also called Benign Fibrous Histiocytomas.
