It Cosmetics Hello Lashes Mascara Review

One of my clients raves over It Cosmetics. She loves many of their products, one being Hello Lashes Mascara. It's a cute name for a mascara!

So I decided to give it a go.

It Cosmetic Hello Lashes Details & Review

The mascara comes in blackest black. It is not a waterproof mascara. It Cosmetics claims it quadruples the volume of your lashes and you get the look of false lashes. They also say it is a five in one mascara meaning it does the jobs of five different products in one mascara. It stand for Innovative Technologies by the way.

5-in-1

1. It is a volumizing mascara.
2. It is a primer.
3. It is a peptide based lash conditioner.
4. It is a "tint". (They use the word tint but it doesn't actually tint the lashes. It adds temporary color to your lashes like any other mascara does.)
5. It has Lash Retention Technology so you "never need to use a curler or a comb" and your lashes will stay curled all day.

The Brush

The mascara brush is designed to reach every lash. It is like a comb which is good for preventing clumping. It has a spiky ball on the end. It scares me. I am afraid I am going to poke my eye, but it does make it easy to coat all the lashes. It has a nice gripper on the handle which helps prevent the mascara wand from slipping out of your fingers.

Application
Apply this mascara with the mascara wand horizontal as you would with any mascara. Wiggle the wand as you apply from the base to the tip of the lashes to prevent clumping and help keep the lashes separated. Now "Go Vertical". Use the mascara wand vertically so the ball on the mascara wand helps to lengthen the lashes from base to tip.

The Review:

Hello Lashes is a good mascara but doesn't live up to the claims It Cosmetics makes about it, for me anyway. It is a volumizing mascara. I personally like a lengthening mascara. My lashes are not quadrupled and they don't look like false lashes. Here are my lashes curled with 2 coats of Hello Lashes. Curling my straight lashes is a must with any mascara I use, so this mascara could never replace my lash curler.

The mascara goes on easy and smooth and I had no clumping. The lashes look nice and natural to me, not thick and spidery. Some people complain that it smudges throughout the day. I did not have any smudging or flaking. Some people complain that it burns if it get in your eyes. Luckily, I have not gotten it in my eyes so I haven't experienced  that, either. I find it stays on well throughout the day and is easy to remove with soap and water or makeup remover. I like it but it just doesn't do enough lengthening for me. It may be great for you, though. It's definitely worth a try.

It Cosmetics also makes Hello Lashes Extensions Mascara which is an extending fiber mascara. It contains nylon fibers to create length. I would probably like that better since my favorite mascara (Too Faced Better than False Lashes) is a fiber extending mascara.
Hello Lashes Mascara and Hello Lashes Extensions Mascara sell for $24.00 each but you can get them for less on Amazon. It also comes in a handy travel size which is a great way to try the product for less. Here is a link to shop for Hello Lashes:

White Bumps Under Eyes: Milia

Have you noticed that you have little white looking bumps under your eyes? Some people call it chicken skin because the bumps look like plucked chicken skin. 🐔 Most likely those little white bumps are milia. They can feel hard or pearly. These bumps are not acne. Milia can occur when dead skin cells become trapped beneath the outer layer of skin. Keratin becomes trapped and builds up. A small benign cyst can form which is the milia. It's a cyst!?! Don't let that word scare you. They are harmless, but unwanted bumps.  They can occur on any area of the skin that tends to be on the dry side. They cannot be squeezed out like a blackhead or pimple because they have no opening. A layer of skin covers them. A hole must be created in them using a needle, then they can be extracted out. Read more about blackhead, whiteheads and blind pimples This is a common problem for the under-eye area. It is a dry, delicate area of the skin. I see it a lot on my clients. Heavy products

Dermatofibromas

This post is all about dermatofibromas and some remedies to help make them look better and ways hide them. It includes my Amazon Affiliate Links to help you find the products I talk about. Q. I have this brown bump on my leg that won't go away. What can I do about it? A. It could be a dermatofibroma. I see them often on my leg waxing clients. A dermatofibroma is a tan to brown benign raised bump more common in women than men and occur commonly on the legs. The bump feels hard under the skin and can be itchy, tender and easily irritated. A doctor will tell you not to worry about it because it's benign, but it's kind of ugly! Dermatofibromas are also called Benign Fibrous Histiocytomas. They are the result of some sort of injury to the skin such as an ingrown hair or a bug bite.  Be careful when shaving because a dermatofibroma may bleed and become sore if nicked. Don't think you can get rid of it by shaving it off. It will be an awful looking sore and will j
