Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara Review

I am always in search of the perfect mascara so I'm always trying new ones. My latest mascara trial is Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. It's a beautiful luxury brand. I wanted to try it because the claim is that it gives you the look and drama of false lashes. Who doesn't want the look of false lashes?
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara
I usually prefer a lengthening mascara because lengthening mascara tends to be less clumpy and spidery looking. I decided to try out this volumizing mascara because it claims to give instant volume, length, dimension and the look of false lashes. The perfect mascara for me is one that lengthens my lashes, is not clumpy, stays very black all day without fading, helps my lashes stay curled and doesn't flake or smudge. My favorite was Too Faced Better than False Lashes but it has been replaced with a new Extreme formula that just doesn't give me the same results.

The Velvet Noir Major Volume mascara brush is curvy, designed to place the most volume at the center lash line. The mascara is very pigmented and very black which I just love!

One coat looks nice but doesn't give me enough drama.
2 coats definitely gives me drama and length but also starts to get a little bit clumpy and spidery.
3 coats... dramatic but it's too clumpy for me.

This mascara does not flake or smudge on me. It stays pretty black looking all day. I find there is only slight fading. My lashes do stayed curled but I would like more lengthening and less spidery look. It is easy to remove and didn't irritate my eyes in any way.

My overall opinion of this mascara is I don't think my lashes look like false lashes, but it does make my lashes thicker and gives them drama. The problem for me is I need 2-3 coats to achieve real drama but the mascara starts to get too clumpy for me. It would have been a great mascara to use when I did dramatic Twiggy makeup last year. One coat may work fine for you though. It's worth a try but is a bit pricey at $26.00. There is a travel size available for less on Amazon so you can give it a try for fewer dollars.

I will keep using this mascara because I like the nice dark pigment it has but I will apply one coat of lengthening mascara followed by the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. Wet n Wild Mega Length Mascara is my favorite inexpensive lengthening mascara.

White Bumps Under Eyes: Milia

Have you noticed that you have little white looking bumps under your eyes? Some people call it chicken skin because the bumps look like plucked chicken skin. 🐔 Most likely those little white bumps are milia. They can feel hard or pearly. These bumps are not acne. Milia can occur when dead skin cells become trapped beneath the outer layer of skin. Keratin becomes trapped and builds up. A small benign cyst can form which is the milia. It's a cyst!?! Don't let that word scare you. They are harmless, but unwanted bumps.  They can occur on any area of the skin that tends to be on the dry side. They cannot be squeezed out like a blackhead or pimple because they have no opening. A layer of skin covers them. A hole must be created in them using a needle, then they can be extracted out. Read more about blackhead, whiteheads and blind pimples This is a common problem for the under-eye area. It is a dry, delicate area of the skin. I see it a lot on my clients. Heavy products

Dermatofibromas

This post is all about dermatofibromas and some remedies to help make them look better and ways hide them. It includes my Amazon Affiliate Links to help you find the products I talk about. Q. I have this brown bump on my leg that won't go away. What can I do about it? A. It could be a dermatofibroma. I see them often on my leg waxing clients. A dermatofibroma is a tan to brown benign raised bump more common in women than men and occur commonly on the legs. The bump feels hard under the skin and can be itchy, tender and easily irritated. A doctor will tell you not to worry about it because it's benign, but it's kind of ugly! Dermatofibromas are also called Benign Fibrous Histiocytomas. They are the result of some sort of injury to the skin such as an ingrown hair or a bug bite.  Be careful when shaving because a dermatofibroma may bleed and become sore if nicked. Don't think you can get rid of it by shaving it off. It will be an awful looking sore and will j
