Summer is my favorite time of year for color. I love all the vibrant colors in the garden; the flowers, the butterflies and the little hummingbirds with their iridescent feathers.
The sky always looks extra blue on a summer day. Then, there is the contrast between the the green trees and the blue sky. And the summer sunsets are always amazing especially over the water at the bay.
Summer nail polish colors are my favorite too! Give me bright, bold, shimmering color. The Zoya Dreamin' Collection for Summer 2021 gives me some of those bright colors I crave!
There are six colors in the Dreamin' Collection, 4 creams, 1 neon cream, and 1 outstanding shimmering mermaid shade! The neon cream requires 3 coats for full coverage. The other 5 cover beautiful in 2 coats. I recently wore Darla on my toes for my daughter's bridal shower. It was the perfect pink to coordinate with our romantic pink garden theme. Plus, it was just perfect with the roses on my dress!!!
I called on my creative skills to bring to life decorations and favors with a soft romantic garden vibe.
Here are a few pics of my bridal shower decorating ideas:
I included my Amazon Associate links to help you find the perfect items for you.
I found the perfect paper plates to set the mood! I'm glad I grabbed them when I did since they don't seem to be available anymore.
The rose gold accents on the plates, the plastic champagne glasses, the cups, and the flatware added a sophisticated warm metallic glow.
Here is a pic of the cake. I am not so good at making buttercream roses so I made roses out of pink paper. They came out really nice!
I wanted the sweetheart table to be beautiful and romantic, set with personalized champagne glasses and bride and groom signs on the chairs. I made modern wreaths out of gold rings, silk flowers, greens and organza ribbons that shimmered in the sun and blew gently in the breeze for more romance!
We had a Mimosa Bar, of course. A celebration of this caliper requires lots of bubbly!!! Our juice selections for the mimosas were the classic orange juice, peach juice, pomegranate juice, and raspberry lemonade.
I made large paper roses along with silk greens to decorate the Bubbly Bar sign.
I wanted the bridal shower favors to reflect the romantic flowery garden theme. Little trinket dishes in the shape of flowers fit the bill. Polymer clay baked in the oven created the perfect little dishes!
It was a wonderful day even though we were showered with a few rain drops!
Now, let's get to Darla and all the other colors on the Zoya Dreamin' Collection
Zoya Dreamin' Summer 2021
Zoya Desi
Zoya Desi is a geranium coral cream. Vibrant and happy! The perfect warm orangy coral for your fingers and toes.
Zoya Polly
Zoya Polly is a yummy fruit punch pink cream with pink coral vibe. It's the kind of pink that looks beautiful on many different skin tones.
Zoya Darla
Zoya Darla is a Gerba Daisy pink. It is soft, cool, and creamy. It was the perfect bridal shower pink for me!
Zoya Skipper
Zoya Skipper is a milky purple neon. It dries to a semi matte finish. Add a top coat to shine it up or wear semi matte. Apply 3 coats to get the most out of this color.
Zoya Mateo
Zoya Mateo is a cool pacific blue. It is creamy and well pigmented. I just love it! A beauty to wear at the beach!
I had trouble capturing this color in a pic and had to play with the color tones to try to get it looking as accurate as possible.
Zoya Summer is a shimmering mermaid blue green. It has glittering green and gold shimmer in a blue base. Another personal favorite of mine. I'm a sucker for shimmer!
Speaking of shimmer... check out the Zoya Cosmic Pop Collection. It's 3 shimmering, glittering colors are available for a limited time only!
